Faye Coffield Investigations specializes in criminal defense assistance.  Our
services are available for pre-trial, trial and post conviction investigations.  At the
present time we do not conduct Death Penalty case investigations.  

The criminal justice system is no longer the easy to maneuver arena it used to
be.  Today, one must be able to interpret complicated police and supporting
reports, scientific evidence and police procedures and other issues.  While some
may argue this is not as complicated as seems, consider this example::

  • A Young man languishes in a local jail charged with burglary.  From the
    onset he proclaims his innocence.  Within 30 minutes of beginning the
    investigation there was sufficient evidence to question his guilt.  When the
    investigation was completed it proved it was humanly impossible for him to
    have committed the crime at the location, time and under the
    circumstances described in the complaint.  

This case is highlighted as an illustration of the multi-faceted abilities of myself
and my investigators. All Investigators are former law enforcement officers so we
know the rules of engagement.  Here is a partial list of our procedures:  

  • Meet with the Defendant and conduct an in depth interview .  We
    will meet with the defendant and conduct an in depth interview.  We also
    interview incarcerated defendants in local, state and federal  facilities.  In
    most jurisdictions we are afforded the same attorney-client protections as
    attorneys. If a jurisdiction refuses my investigator attorney-client status,
    arrangements are made with the attorney.
  • The ability to read and interpret Police Reports and to know what
    police files the defense is entitled to.   Each of my investigators is a former
    law enforcement officer.  
  • Visit alleged crime scenes in all areas.  We have no problem going
    into what some may consider the more undesirable areas.  
  • Provide photographs, videotapes and other visual images of the
    crime scene and related locations at no additional charge.  
  • Locate witnesses and conduct productive interviews.  Often
    important issues area missed in interviews.   
  • Prepare An In depth Report for the attorney to assist them in the
    preparation of their case.
  • Immediately advise Counsel of any problems or important
    developments.
